Virtual Tour Press Kit
The Federation of Damanhur presents the new Virtual Reality immersive experience of the Temples of Humankind:
Rock Light and Art Experience
an exciting series of guided immersive experiences inside the underground Halls of the Temples of Humankind.
The Temples are known worldwide for their artistic and mystical value. Now they can also be visited from the comfort of home, with powerful visuals enriched with new and exclusive content.
The Virtual Reality experience, developed in collaboration with 3D Agency, No Real Interactive from Turin, Italy, presents the Halls both through “guided tour” and “free exploration” modes that can be enjoyed via PC, mobile devices, and VR headsets.
The immersion in the spaces is accompanied by narratives, explanatory captions, and multimedia content, including meditative experiences, music, and unprecedented visualizations of details and effects visible only with special lighting conditions.

These experiences allow virtual visitors to delve into the symbols and stories represented in the walls and structures of this impressive 3-dimensional library, which collects, connects, and reworks myths and meanings, new and old, of many traditions and peoples.
The project foresees a progressive opening of the eight Halls that make up the Temples and continuous enrichment of the contents and associated experiences. Soon we’ll launch the functionality of participation in guided tours live. These tours will be managed by the artisans and artists who have contributed to the original realization of the work, as well as experienced guides, selected from the many specialized researchers and artists who have fallen in love with this magical place.
The initiative is open to collaborations for co-designing events and offers the possibility of affiliation to recognize the contribution of those who are willing to promote it. To learn more: https://thetemples.space/affiliate-dashboard/
“It will take more than nine hours to tell the meanings and understand the multiple levels of reading of a single hall of the Temples. This project combines the emotional value of the virtual presence with the possibility of delving into themes and creating paths that are difficult to reach during traditional visits.”
Piovra Caffè – Art and Development Manager
The project was created to disseminate and preserve the cultural heritage of exceptional collective work. The construction challenges that the builders faced and the extraordinary artistic and spiritual value of the creations both form a unique case of eclectic architecture not found anywhere else in the world.
In modern times of tourism industry crisis and the ensuing decline in visitor numbers, this project represents an important resource to support the preservation and development of a place that has inspired thousands of people around the world and is a true hymn to human creativity and spirituality.

Since ancient times, valuable knowledge has been codified and handed down in the architectural structure of sacred buildings. These architectural works take on a value that touches on significant aspects of human existence, such as philosophical and scientific thought, interaction with other planes of reality, up to contact with the divine.
The Temples of Humankind are an example of contemporary sacred architecture.
Built following a precise code of shapes and proportions, the Temples complex is a large three-dimensional book that tells the history of humanity through many artistic expressions. The rich complexity of colors and shapes, combined with the scents and sounds always present in each Room, creates in the visitor a sensory saturation that is the result of an accurate search.
This stimulation involves all perceptual channels, so that the most hidden and least used human senses, those connected to the soul, can emerge. In this way, every person who visits the Temples enriches them with new emotions and meanings. In this constant interaction, works of art are always alive and in transformation: anyone who is touched by the story of the Temples is because he feels that the story they tell is also his and becomes, in part, co-creator.
Born in 1975 in the alpine slopes of Piedmont, Damanhur is a Federation of Communities and a world movement, which has a positive impact on life of thousands of people committed to transforming themselves and society for the better. Damanhur has created a new society focused on the search for Consciousness through shared life, art and spirituality.
No Real Interactive is an important Italian Virtual Reality company that has collaborated with Damanhur for the virtualization of the visiting and meditational experience in the underground complex of the Temples of Humankind, an undisputed heritage of humankind. The realization of the Virtual Tour was conducted using the most advanced technology of photographic shooting at 360° high definition, and applying techniques of 3D photogrammetric reconstruction for the development of photoplans multi-resolution thus ensuring the rendering of the most minute decorative elements and the correspondence of chromaticism.

About us - Alex Grey
“Art can reveal the connections that exist between all of us, as a human family, and awaken respect for nature and the entire fabric of life. Humanity is in a spiral of self-destruction, while we attack the environment, destroy many species and throw ourselves into endless wars, vowing ourselves to violence in the name of religion. In the dark dawn of the 21st century, civilization and the human spirit are fighting for life. The Temples of Damanhur are a medicine for the soul that we desperately need these days.”
From “The Rock, Art and Light”, a foreword by Alex Grandy, painter, writer and co-founder of CoSM.
